Polymer Contours of Allentown, Pa. was founded in 2008 by Joseph Gabriel, a Master Machinist and Injection-Molding Expert with more decades of experience. He learned mold-making while working with B. Braun of America, where he specialized in medical devices, and later went on to serve as President of Kastech Inc. of Allentown.

In 1988 he purchased Kastech, changed the name to Gabriel High Tech Molding and restructured the former apparel specialist to focus on mold-making for the medical industry. He sold Gabriel High Tech Molding to Jerome Medical of Moorestown, N.J. in 1999 and stayed on as president through 2007, when it was again sold to OSSUR Orthothics of Iceland.
